We have experienced and motivated teams dealing with the administration of estates regardless of whether or not there is a Will, who can obtain the Grant of Probate needed to administer the estate. We are able to calculate any tax due and help to minimise the liability as far as possible and we can notify domestic suppliers of the death and arrange payment of outstanding accounts from the estate. We are able to deal with the sale of property arising from a death and will liaise with local authorities regarding Residential/Nursing Home fees. We also deal with Will Trusts and Discretionary Trusts.

A Will is something everyone should consider. It allows you to make your wishes known to ensure that your property and possessions are left to the ones you love. A Will also allows you to appoint a Guardian for any dependent children and deal with important inheritance tax issues. Many people also choose to remember a charity in their Will by leaving a legacy to help a cause that is important to them.

There is no such thing a ‘standard Will’ and therefore it is essential that you receive specialist advice when making your Will. We offer a complete service so that you can have peace of mind.

Our Probate Team specialises in these areas of law together Lasting Powers of Attorney & Court of Protection work. You can find out more about these areas by clicking here.

We have teams available in Hanley and Cheadle. Each transaction is dealt with by an individual fee earner so that you will know who to contact when any queries arise.
